I have, but Sharp cannot do much outside KF. I also notified some of the people whose files were being used. Not only because they sell it or give it away. but Ron Geraerts is also not mentioning the names of the creators of all sound and patches, so nobody gets the credits (except Ron itself).

send him a private message pertaining to his club, if he enjoys the luxury of being in it then he is going to have to face the facts. If you report the page to facebook for pirating and distributing pirated material then they can disbelieve the facebook staff for shutting down their page.

Interesting topic...this man : Ron geraetz is getting all the kromeheaven.com files to put them in download on its facebook page...

I've always respected authors : asking them to share and convert their sound, but this guy is a real f**king stealer...

He first refuses to accept its reputation, showing me that everything is clear on its group, but in fact, he only copy our work with password protected archive...

Then, he put everything you share without asking you anything...and when you make a remark to stop it now, he makes you a silly lesson.

A bad ass to ban from the internet...

Actually it's even worse ... he threathened me in a facebook converstatation quite some time ago. He stopped the threat after informing the police about the matter.

I'd never reported a "Facebook" group before. Just checked it out to see how it works. When you click on the report button it gives you some options. At the very bottom there's a link " Is this your intellectual property?"...or something like that. It'd be best if actual developer of these stolen libraries use that option to report.

Yeah, but he'll have to start all over again. At least you get to make his online life a bit miserable!

I'm afraid not ... once I was in his list, but I did not make a copy. I warned some people where I knew they were the creator of at least one of the PCG files but then I got blocked after some discussions with Ron.

I think his intentions were good (sharing patches), but the implementation and reason behind it was far from ethical. He also claimed he did it for a long time for Yamaha sounds, however I barely can imagine Yamaha sound designers would not have the same problem as Korg sound designers have.

Well, I've been blocked yesterday because I asked him to stop sharing 2 packs downloaded on my site...I've converted some sounds myself for the Krome and the packs on its groups were strictly identical : date, size, name...etc...

I can do free stuff, but when seeing people like him, it disgusts me to continue my work for the krome...really...

I've the list of files on its group...mainly Yamaha sound, but few sound for Kronos, and now Krome.

Facebook process for closing such a group is VERY complicated, but nothing impossible.

+1 .... also it would be good to know what to add to a file to make it kind of copyright protected, so it can only be shared after agreement (and revoked if needed).

For example, I put this notice for PCG Tools on my website and also a copyright statement into every source file. Maybe it's not full proof, but it might help.

I'm 100% sure that e.g. Chapman.pcg is not from Ron Geraerts, but somebody from KorgForums.

This means he is not only copying PCG files on his own site without permission, but also removes the original author name with its own name. How low can you go (for synths not a problem, but for people ...)
