I loved the D50,owned a couple of them at one time the only thing I hated about them was they had noisy outputs,that was one of the synths I created a lot of original sounds for,probably more than most synths I've had,and was a bit of a pig with its interface unless you added the PG programmer,its great for pads and sparkly sounds,and I still use those LA sounds now.
I suppose its one of the synths I did regret selling but it was down to reliability for me more than anything so i replaced them with the V synth XT so I'm still able to use those patches I made as they load in without a hitch.

you can't deny the D50 as being a cracking synth even now even with its age,there are a lot of people who rate this synth highly..

Yes, not everyone likes the same flavors. I lusted after the 01/W when I was getting into pro synths, but the Trinity, to me, absolutely smokes it with filters and effects alone. The synth patch possibilites are simply on a whole different level. Were you really into the waveshaping feature or something, or thought the acoustic sounds had more realism?
I thought the acoustic sounds of the 01 had more warmth and realism.

There's nothing I've been really happy to part with - and if it wasn't for the fact I need ££$$££$$ injections to fund new purchases, I'd have kept everything.
That said, since parting with them, I've not missed the following:
Kawai K1m
Yamaha DX7IIFD
Yamaha EX5R
Motif XS (great keyboard, but the M3 won!)
...and I doubt I'll miss the Blofeld and MPC1000 if (when) I sell 'em.
My biggest selling-regrets are:
Roland TB303

NS10M monitors
What the **** was I thinking when I sold them !!

I got 7 of 'em

It's just the IIFD I was never that bothered about. I guess the mk 1 being the original, has something special. Apart from 2 of them, I got the rest all for under £50 each (I tend to snap up the faulty ones and try and bring them back to life!)

From my first synth, many moons ago(Arp 2600) to my spartan collection I have now, I have to say I've liked something about every board I've owned. I started out with a Farfisa organ and a Bandmaster amp...much before the 2600, and utilized them heavily for quite a few years. But, I always have had a yearning for a variety in sounds that has kept me searching. It is a joy now that it seems there is an almost endless array of sounds in which to create with the pieces I now own.

I bought a Yammyha high end PSR high end series 2000?? .. and this thing had so many bugs in it I was constantly rebooting it from freezing up. What a piece of untested from the factory dogpoop...Nothing on this worked correctly..and everyone had the same problems. I finally convinced the retail store to let me trade it back in for a Korg i-30.

Yes but I see you have 7 of the originals. In that case it changes my remark. I saw one last being sold (Yamaha DX7 II if I"m right) for E 250.

Not had a new Roland since.
If you changed a program within a combi (or whatever it was called), then that program changed across the whole synth.....or something like that.
It was so irritating....can anyone remind of the exact defficiency? I'm dying to remember?!
I was thinking of going back to a new Roland (G series)... is their 'combi' setup like Korg's now?

Never really regretted getting rid of my Roland MT-32...
Actually had a surprising amount of promise, if I could have gotten any of the editing software to work on a modern OS.
Similar in architecture to a D50/D110. Sold it for not much money...

Yamaha P120 that I still love.
Spotted a better P120 on the bay for an absolute steal. Sold my first(used) one on the bay and specified no international shipping and no first time buyers. Winning bidder was a first time buyer...from Poland. But it still worked out nicely.
Also glad that I sold my D6 Clavinet and my old Wurli. Loved them both but needed cash and space.
