got it from baxshop a smaller german onlineshop...they had some in stock..normally its hard to get them around here right now.
I'm quite disappointet with the unit. I also own a EMX and other gear and i feel actually betrayed by korg for the lack of midi options..the lack of edit options for synthesis and FX, motion sequences, the bugs, lfo speed, lack of a real transpose function, swing per part, fx dry/wet and only one value, move data/copy data function, master tuning option/ real pitchbend, original value indication,no assinable CC's and midi channels (WTF!)... the arpeggiator is only a gater. The sequencer is strange and got issues. U cant copy voices to another pattern. The bpm LFO restarts per note...always. no unsynced lfo but triangle. u can select parts only in trigger mode. u cant assign the step jump and steppers to return in sync! some kind of controllable program changes.
I use my EMX for liveacts and its a real instrument...most of the fancy e2 things are not well-conceived. They should have involved more artists developing this.
Piece of crap...for now. I hope... they fix this...else I consider reselling my unit. I cant believe they managed to destroy nearly everything what was great about the electribes for a pseudopolyphony and some fancy dsp filters which are quite useless from a sounddesigners view because of the lack of modulation options.
What about some Webmaster of this forum made a list with all issues from all members here and we send it to korg as some sort of referendum?

I don't wanna rain on your party, but the electribe non sampler deliveries are scarse already. And no one has ever seen the sampler yet, on the internets at least.moog666 wrote:When I bought mine from Dawsons the guy said end of the week too. NAMM is around the corner, though.

My electribe2 lousy patterns and stuff | KORG gear: NTS-1, nanoKEY2, electribe2/2S, WS/SR, WS/EX (on storage)
Picked up mine a week ago from Steve's music store here in montreal, canada. I don't have it on me so i can't tell you the serial number (although now I'm interested to know which number it is)
Firmware that came with it was 1.02, updated to 1.03 this morning. definitely noticed a small improvement in pattern switching.
I had reserved mine from the store in november and when they called me to pick it up they told me that they only received 2 units and i was their very first client to pick it up. pretty stoked on that.
Can't wait for the "groundbreaking announcement" korg has waiting for electribe2 users. (overhyping it)
EDIT:
FOUND my serial number its 000919

Serial Number: 000922
FW: 1.02
Store: Axe Music
Country: Canada
They had one on order prior to me ordering it. So it took about a week.
Only played on it shortly last night, but was a bit disappointed with the workflow. Updated today to 1.03 and saw the Shift + Pad shortcuts were there which will help tremendously.
My first impressions is that there is literally room for improvement. Right now, the unit isn't as deep as my Monomachine, pads aren't as responsive as Maschine, but the sounds is stunningly clear. The scales are a nice touch and are pretty flexible. There are some glaring and odd omissions. Nice build.
It's like a pro-electro-toy. And toy can be used derisively, but really, this instrument needs to be just that - have some professional touches but keep it fun.
