maestro1982 wrote:Originally all the sounds was in user 1.
The problem was this, to many sounds cannot be selected in a quick mode.
I'v tried to put they in GM order , but often for selecting for examle Some Clarinet ecc in must go to page 10 ecc..too long passage and often i cannot remember where was the sound i wanted.
Now i Know that they are in WoodWind Bank.
I found a lot of poor sound in Factory/Lecagy/GM and i'v replace them but keeping the compatibility , for exampre a poor tenor sax replaced by a better sax ecc, (sounding globalally is better but the same)
I love this expecially becouse styles don't need adjustements and sounds better
You did very good job, I only suggest if was be possible also provide user01 set of sound for people who using more advance self customize Korg Pa600 and they in progress of making styles.
Image this: Korg has not bad set, then Dopamine has nice set, now you and maybe someone else soon got another set.... then for people who creating own styles is like almost start over, is great for users only using for playing not creating, but is getting difficult to even share your styles if you not sure which set other has.
this is why I suggest also keep it much we can Korg configuration with optional version upgrade sounds.
Korg Pa600 has 256 banks available for sounds, I think is more that we needed, short instruction how to change in styles or performance do the job.
And for someone who like complete new set, do like you did. :)

Hi Friends:

First: nemik your propousal is excellent; having different sets well documented, may help a lot of users.-
About sounds, yesterday i've time to make a deep check on some new sounds, and the experience was fantastic.-
I must say that my test where maid using PA600 alone, and PA600 controlled by CME UF70 controller.-
With PA600, new German & Japan piano, sounds much better than factory grandpiano sound; but controlling PA600 by CME via midi, both sounds nearly such as impresive as Korg M3M module.- Perhaps this is because CME have's an extensive range of velocity & aftertouch controls.-
The sound comparision shows that controlling PA600 by a controller keybed increases 2 db audio output and all sounds powerfull & crystal clear.- The difference is really amazing.-
Pa600 have's a poor keybed, so i think this makes the difference when you want to reach really good sounds.-
About maestro new sounds, i've only teste a few of them, but initially they look fantastic.-
Maestro, thanks for your job.- WELL DONE !!!!!!!!
With regards, Eduardo.

I'm very interested in this. How do you do a backup of the resources?

Thanks in advance,
Al

go to Media/Utility and 1-st option Full Resources Backup hit Eexcute.
Is going to show screen where you can choose where you want Backup, then hit Backup and you see pop screen where you can edit your backup name . edit name and click ok, then on warning window "Are you sure?" hit OK.... and wait to complete .
:)
If you want to save only part of
go to Media/Save then open (folder ALL) then you see what you can save.
Korg Pa600 allow you to save there only Users sets, no option to save from factory or Favorite, so if you want to save something else this way, you must before copy and paste to user bank .
I hope that's making sence . 8)

Sorry guys but I have some more questions.

1) I've done the backup but how do I make a complete set as Rick suggested?
2) After downloading the bkp, i copied it to a USB that I use for the PA600 but couldn't find it in the USB.

Thanks,
Al

go first to Global menu/Mode Preference/Media and unlock all protections.
Then go to Media/Utility/ 2-nd option Resource Restore and hit Execute
Then in bottom left corner change to USB drive, you should find PA600v2.BKP ... highlight this and click restore.
wait to complete, korg ask you to reboot, turn off, then on and you have all new sets.
this version is set to Italian language, so if you see some weird name go to Global/General Control/Interface and change there for language you like it :) .... don't forget after hit button Change!!!

Note that if you unprotected factory banks, and then save a full Set, the factory banks will also be saved in the folders.

So all the styles will be saved and I can choose which ones I want to reload after loading Maestro's bkp? And I don't have to copy those styles I use to the User banks?

Thanks,
Al

If you have the bank01,...,bank16 in the styles folder of the saved set, then yes, you will be able to reload them, bank per bank or even style per style.

If anybody is interesting has this resources (PA600 V2) as a SET not backup file feel free to download free here:
www.performersheaven.net/htmsupport/PA600_V2.SET.rar
Is all same except I did backup all as a SET.
Now using KORG PA Manager you can look what is included there before you load to Korg, or simply load only what you needed.
I do planning to do later some documentation for this set , but for now enjoy download.

Again, thank You maestro1982 for this SET

Hi folks,
I´ve read this interesting thread and have a question: I have the chance to purchase a PA 600 with Musikant-SD-Card (and loaded content).
Can I load your V2-Set by further using the Musikant-Styles/-Sounds etc...?
Do I have to erase them for using your SET and can I restore the PA600 later to use the localized (german/Musikant) Resourcs?

Best regards
Tim
