Yes the total integration is splendid. I miss that feature. I sort of wish all new keyboads could have something just like that, even Kronos (yes I know, but it sux).QuiRobinez wrote:it will sound really good, quite different than a virus ti. But based on your description i think a virus ti would be a much better choice. For instance the Total recall funtion in a DAW or the usb sound streaming in your daw and the large polyphony would make it a better choice in my opinion.robinkle wrote: I think it helps narrowing things down a bit. Even though 4 octaves is a bit limiting for piano playing, I will still check out the NL4. I like the nord interface and sound. 4 part multitimbral isn't bad either. I'll give it a test.
The NL4 is 4 parts multitimbral but only 24 voices, so that's not really much compared to a Virus TI, also the keyboard of a virus TI is much better then NL4 (which lacks aftertouch and feels quite plastic).
I think 24 voices is ok when you have 4 multitimbrals only, meaning average use of voices would be 6 per part, which isn't bad. You have a good point about aftertouch though, I tend to use it often, and the XV-3080 supports aftertouch, so again, Virus is the better choice indeed. The bad thing though is that the virus C had even better keybed then the TI, asuming TI and TI2 is using the same keybed. Never played tI2, only original TI.
