They've not left enough room for the MonoPoly EXi Icon!! (If the CX-3 can be updated to such an extent, I guess additional EXi's are still a possibility?).

Update went soothly, I'll have a mess around later.

They say 9 engines so put 9 icons I suppose. Maybe they could fill the whole screen up with shots of evey page available

2.1 Editor not showing up in Logic X… So still no 64bit support?

Other than that, a good overall update… CX-3 seems pretty good now (although I always though it was perfectly usable before)

Not only have Korg released numerous updates since the release of the KRONOS, these updates have provided substantial - and genuinely useful - features. Well done Korg, let's hope they keep coming!

(If you wanted to update the sequencer whilst you're at it, I could seriously consider getting rid of the PC all together ...)

I tried a few of them....not sure what was changed, but the Leslie sim might have been better before. The horn now sounds like it crossfades between slow and fast rather than spins up. I didn't have a lot of time to play with it, but that was my first impression. Hopefully the old sim is still in there somewhere.
As I wrote on KC, spend some more time with it. There's a lot that's been improved. I'm not sure what you mean about the horn, but there are many different settings for the Leslie speeds across the different programs. Take note of the ramp time for the horn on sounds that seem off as you describe. I know that the default for the system was a Horn ramp time of 90, which was too fast to my ears... I prefer it slower, as did a number of the US artists I worked with. Ramp time, mic distance and Horn/Rotor balance all affect the sound greatly... I am confident that a sound you will like is in there. Going back to the old system loses a lot of great improvement IMHO.

Jerry

P.S. I worked on the project, including managing the US artists contributions, and evaluating/testing the spec. It was fun to be back working on a Korg project again.

Agree, me too wanted to use the editor as a VST plugin in Cubase 64 bit.
Sad that we didn't get that now. :(

But the upgrade 2.1 looks nice, and new sounds are always welcomed! :D

I haven't done the update yet but planing to. Is there any way to reassign the cox sounds to different banks or do I have to relocate sounds form those banks and is there a quick way of doing a bulk transfer?

just to be sure - the only changes in factory sounds are I-A and U-C ???

No change of all the other factory programs or combinations ?

Thanks for the reassurance, Jerry. I just finished reading the updated section of the parameter guide and will have plenty of time this weekend to dive in and figure it out. I've been on the fence about picking up a Ventilator or GSi Burn -- maybe the improvements will make that unnecessary! I'd rather *not* spend that money if I can avoid it.

p.s. Nice to see you reunited with Korg...hope that happens more often in the future!

It's a pity that the update doesn't still offers the possibility to access via FTP to USB hard disks that are connected to the Kronos.

That is correct and the VNL for those two banks clearly highlights the updated patches and the patches themselves include a "V2" suffix
