Broken screen!

There is a video on youtube in which a very capable guy replaces the broken display of a Kronos explaining everything in detail while carrying out the job. You should find it easily. Hope that helps.

Hi, Mindsear. I took my Kronos to a freelance service tech (Korg authorized) and he did the work for me. I was trying to save money by ordering the screen from Parts is Parts, but they didn't have it. The tech had to order it from Korg.mindsear wrote:Mike: I too have experienced a cracked screen (not so drastic as yours- just a single one across the upper corner). Was wondering if you replaced yourself and if there were any special instructions or tips (what to avoid or be aware of) when installing? Thanks
This happened a few years ago. The new screen has functioned just fine. Always tough to be without the Kronos. Fortunately, I had the OASYS and some other synths to keep me company. For whatever reason, (either the tech or Korg) the screen took a while to arrive. I was so happy to get it back.
My recommendation is to have your service tech order the screen, while you keep your Kronos. When it arrives, you can bring in to him and it will be done in a couple of days.
Cool video!
