CX3 questions

At this point-my single large disappointment in the unit.

my major disappointment is the implementations of the soundfont import feature...

maybe I'll try a different format and see if I can make it work...

You'd have 8 knobs available in tone adjust mode. Yes you would have to give up one drawbar.

Here's another approach: Instead of using split mode within a CX3 program, I use two timbres for the upper and lower manuals in a combi (as discussed above).
Since every timbre in a combi has its own Tone Adjust settings, I can use the sliders to control the drawbars for both manuals individually.
There is a shortcut for quickly switching which timbre is currently controlled (via the play/mute buttons while holding down the Tone Adj./EQ button).

Takes some getting used to but works well.

this is a good alternative, but at the same time... you had to go into combi mode to achieve it.

I wonder if there is a workaround in program mode to do it.

Right now, I'm working through it by just copying an osc from one exi into the osc of another program.... then maybe go into the 2nd osc and put it into split mode... etc...

I don't know if it's going to work, but I'm trying it. I don't really care too much for keyboard organs anyway, but this one does sound quite good and with the drawbars right there.... could be a turning point for me. Just got to make it work.

Yeah...I have a wonderful Voce MIDI drawbar unit...plug and play with the Pc2x (KB3 mode) that the Kronos replaced...had to remap a couple buttons (not the drawbars themselves) for NI's B4...obviously built to control my VoceV3...

I figured best case, it would plug and play like the Kurz....worst case, I'd have to go in and create a Cx3 program with custom CC mappings and use it for all organ tracks...I didn't even IMAGINE the drawbars couldn't be accessed by CC at ALL...
