Well, if we're looking at 4k euros (£3.5K), that will have me looking back at the M3.
The Kronos looks good, but not £3.5k good imho.
At £2.5k it's a good buy.
Will watch the price with great interest.

Once MusicStore and Thomann will have prices online (and Digital Village for UK), then everyone else will match their prices.
Until then, it's just speculations...

Yes, true. But this will not happen soon. I asked them for a quote, but instead of a price they told me to get back to them in April.

It's up all to you how high the price should be in Europe. If it is to high compared to US or more yet to Asia (HK, Japan), you shouldn't buy it at all in Europe. Then it's up to Korg and the dealers to think if they change their pricing policy or starve in the EU market. Usually who has the money has the power and in this case the users are who have it!
I posted months ago that I would like to get the Roland VP770 but would'nt pay that horrend 1799 EUR for it. Two weeks ago I got one at ebay for under 700 EUR. So maybe you really should wait the dust to settle!

If I'm not mistaken, we're talking here to Korg(USA), not to european dealers. So, I don't expect them to answer how much the Kronos will cost in Europe. The rest is for me pure marketing. I saw some prices at european sites and if they don't get significantly corrected, I'll just not buy it. Simple. The Kronos seems like a terrific workstation, but I expect prices somewhere comparable to the competition. Not significantly above that.

People are smart... and with internet it's so easy now to compare prices, to know exchange rate, shipping cost and so on... so I'm not worry, if they do mess up the European price, I won't buy it in Europe... period. And I won't be the only, I'm sure...
So, I'm convinced we will get the right price in the right moment... For now, it's not available anywhere.

It's not forbidden and it never was.

The dealer from us told me that korg stopped me from buying a expansioncard to my TR-61 cause I was not registered in US but lived in Europe.

That's just plain unacceptable, in a world market, which all the capitalist bigfoots like to talk about all the time - as long as it fits their interests.
Anyway, I would always find a way to get whatever I want, from wherever I want.

Yes but again, you dont have the warrant, and I dont think its worth it.
But if its ok for you then its ok for you
I have seen it with software though.
