Hi Rikki & Sam,

Glad to know that the cueing thing has really worked for you guyz & the upgrade was a good one.

I might sound as an amateur here but that is how it is :) I would like to know more about this cueing that is part of the revised OS release. How does it work and what exactly can be done with this?

I hope I have not asked much and any reply will be much appreciated.

Regards,

Umair

you mean cueing Vars?

In style record mode, you can cue a Var such that when you go from any Var to another, the new one will start from measure one. That wasn't the case before and you had to Fill to achieve that. You might not notice the difference for general styles, but it's very handy for song styles.

Hello Guys,
I was reading this post because I am trying to convert some styles from Yamaha to Korg. I have a few questions.

I have the PA2XpPro w os 2.0 and using cubase AI as the midi editor.

Q1) When I exported a Midi file from my Korg and then oppend the file in Cubase, I could not see the markers. Why?

Q2) I added some markers to a midi file in cubase and then saved it as midi type 0. The korg did not recognize the markers?. Why not?

Thanks

Hi Marlo,
how are you trying to go about converting your Yamaha Styles to Korg??

I change the .sty or prs extension on a yamaha style ( a copy of, not the original ) to .mid. This opens up the style as a midifile in either my XGWorks , RealBand or Powertracks pro12 sequencers.
The Yamaha Markers are also imported, which I can then alter to suit Korg Markers.
It's a bit more complex than that, I have to copy & paste & delete some tracks, but it does work.
