1. Korg USA free EXB-Radias promotion: since A2zee bought his M3 in the U.S. and had it shipped to a U.S. address, he is eligible to register his M3 in the U.S. and get the free EXB-Radias. Should Korg USA be obligated to ship his free item to the U.A.E.?

2. Warranty Repair: Imagine something breaks on his M3 that is covered by his 2-year Korg USA warranty. Given you could claim that any defect is "Korg's fault/Korg's mistake" (i.e. no fault of A2zee), should Korg USA be responsible for paying for shipping to and from the U.A.E. for warranty service?

What if? Imagine and Suppose?? He could have it shipped to his uncles etc.. and of course Korg shouldnt be responsible..Thats a different situation .

I think a fair settle would be for Sweetwater to pay at least half shipping charge to UAE and he pay the rest...plus a store merchandise credit for his trouble. My 2c.

Wow, tough crowd. You guys don't like Sweetwater because they like to get MAP price for everything! If that's the case, buy somewhere else.

I'd say the person that actually made the purchase can ask for a full refund, and have his relation (nephew?) ship the M3 back to the States. That way Sweetwater doesn't get any money, but the buyer will take a hit on the freight.

I'd guess that it was just a mistake in Sweetwater's shipping dept. I bought from them before, and never had a problem. If there was something wrong, they took care of it ASAP. I buy at the same store in Wisconsin as Greg C does, so I don't worry about Sweetwater, high prices, or anything else. I give all my business to one dealer, and he takes care of me.

this is the reason why american retailers should NEVER ship gear overseas. let the overseas customers cry, beg, plead to get something delievered to their door...the answer should be NO!

when i sell stuff on ebay, i get these emails from albania, portugal, qatar, and what not about shipping something over there....and I am like 'FOR THE LAST TIME, READ THE DAMN SHIPPING INSTRUCTIONS!'

i am surprised he is from UAE and he ordered from US. UAE is quite a modern nation.

An old piece of Wisdom to consider.............

There's always two sides to every story!

With the way this situation has unfolded here, you must believe that there is a missing perspective . I'm not a big customer to them, but I will tell you this, they have bent over backwards on two occasions I can testify to,when it wasn't even required for them to do so. Sometimes things do get lost in translation.

Sweetwater didnt ship it overseas?..his uncle did under the presumption it was a new in box unit as he ordered. Sweetwater packed him up a real nice used DEMO after he paid for a new in box one...and then offer him $200 to keep it after he opens it in the UAE. Wow..how Fu**ing generous of them! The man has been saving his money for 6 mos to get one!

Sweetwater SUCKS!! PERIOD!! This happened 6 damn days ago and nothing has been resolved for him. ..or to his satisfaction! What kind of pisspoor customer satisfaction or service is that.. ?? Lets all go put our order in with the great almighty Sweetwater that has such great Customer Service for all the Korg products..GRRRRRRRRRRRRR...

Yes, and if A2zee hadn't shipped/transported the product out of the U.S., he could have simply had it replaced, all paid for by Sweetwater with no "out of pocket" expense; the amount of the partial refund woudn't have mattered.

I don't know why you are so bent out of shape about this. This is a SINGLE customer service problem, and at least according to A2zee, he and Sweetwater are currently involved in discussions to get a better resolution for A2zee.

Given all the time I have spent on forums, Sweetwater has had very few customer complaints posted, especially when compared to all of the horror stories I have heard about other retailers like Sam Ash and Guitar Center and Musician's Friend. I also have had fantastic service from Sweetwater, and had have bad experiences with both Musician's Friend and Guitar Center. Even companies that highlight their great customer service make mistakes sometimes.
