I don’t think a top 5 is adequate, nor feasible. I’m sure it would be a challenge to expect everyone to agree on the same five.

I can think of several ‘minor’ improvements which should be relatively simple to develop and implement, but which would contribute to better satisfaction. File management/interface inconsistencies would be tops on my list, as I deal with them nearly every time I use my Kronos.

I think a consolidated list would be useful.
Sure, its up to owners. It could be Top 10 most wanted

I do believe it has to be prioritized

For example " Must Have " vs. " Nice to Have "

I think 1 Must Have is more program banks

But thats my opinion.

I am interested in getting this going. But I think we have to prioritize .

That organized discussion is the 1st step.

The numerous wish lists and requests have not been organized and prioritized. certainly not in a long time.

I vaguely recall Sharp did a beautiful job on Month 1 -4 of Kronos. But we have had some OS enhancements since then.

64-bit & WS

Post by dimafg »

I would like a 64-bit operating system and add wavesequence banks.

With a 64-bit system, you can use 4 gigabytes атв more of RAM. The lack of wavesequence banks is a big problem. Especially when it comes to the Kurt Ader libraries.

And yet - if it were possible, as in Yamaha, in OSC to create any range of velocity for each multisample, and not so that there would be only a maximum of two multisamples on one band. This would allow more flexible formation of sound libraries. Then it would be possible to arrange multisamples in OSC not only by velocity, but also by keyboard range.

oh yes, those are powerful gotta have it enhancements

Hold those good thoughts, we , as Kronos owners, have to determine how to structure, then capture, our many good requests for enhancements/features.

No! I don’t want any updates. I want to see an End to the Kronos. It’s past it’s use by date. The hardware is atrocious and primate looking like a 90’s M1.

I’m not talking about the software part of it. Just the casing, controllers and that crapolla keybed. I wish they would do a Nord and collaborate with Kawai providing the keybed it would give the next gen flagship a great name indicating it has a Kawai keybed. Korg Suck at making pianos.

Anyway, now that they’ve been fined for price fixing who knows what state they are in financially. It’s only the UK where this was discovered who knows what’s happening in other Western countries...

The Kronos is ancient...they need a new keyboard for the 2020’s decade. Not more Updates for some smelly old goat!

If we collected 100 signatures from one hundred people, we could surely write to Korg. One hundred people is a lot people.

Yes.
I sorely miss the "toggle zone" MIDI functionality of Kurzweil's setups, i.e. Kronos's Combi mode. It allowed you to use a foot pedal to toggle between voices in a setup.
It's great to be able to use one board live, and the Kronos is an excellent single board choice, but there's a number of MIDI functionalities it's lacking, especially with foot pedals.

I agree, thats a good #

We have a ways to go and I won't keep this Poll open much longer.

Its time for more owners to show their preference.

Thank you for that !
