OK I went ahead and loaded the KSC ( & also tried the KSC Userbank) but when I go to the combi it says that the samples aren't loaded. After a couple of hours of trying it different ways, reading the manual and watching your youtube tutorial, I still can't make it work. I was unable to load the UG PCG's into the same bank because User G was grayed out. I instead put them into the User GG bank. Could this somehow cause the references to be messed up? I of course corrected the track program info in the combi to the new locations.
Sorry about these questions but this is the first time I've attempted to load any samples. I'm probably just making a dumb mistake but I'd love to be able to use your program.
Thanks again for all of your help.

Can anyone help me get these samples loaded? Are the errors for the missing (and not needed) EX's causing it not to work?
Thanks

Hey,

Sorry I thought I replied already.

The error is irrelevant - JUST load the UTFunk.KSC file or whatever I named it and disregard the error message. The userbank file gets loaded automatically so you don't need to multi-select that one.

Try that and see how it works.

When I saved the sample before I selected the wrong option which tried to save sample links that were irrelevant. I'll get back and fix that eventually.

Anyway, try and only load just the .KSC without the userbank file and report back :)

That's what I tried many times to do. When you go to the combi, it says samples not loaded. If I look at the individual programs, it also says samples not loaded. As previously stated, does it matter that I had to change your program banks from User G to User GG? I corrected the combi tracks to the new locations but wonder if it's causing a problem. When I tried to load your samples to User G it was greyed out possibly because I already have a couple of programs in that bank.
It might be helpful to reread a couple of my earlier posts on this topic.
Thanks for your help.

An update on what I've discovered:
When viewing files of my flash drive on my computer with Music Magician,
I see UF samples in both the KSC file and the User sample file in raw form.

When viewing those files from Disk on the Kronos, there is a folder in the User sample file labeled utfunk but if you try to open it, it says, "No readable data" and shows 0 memory useage.

The KSC file doesn't even show a folder for utfunk, only EX files. I can open the EX files and see the samples.

Any ideas? I've gone back to the original zip file and everything looks fine on my computer, it's just that the Kronos can't see the samples.
If it was formatting of my flash drive or something, I wouldn't be able to see inside the EX files.

Okay, that's incredibly bizarre.

Let me finish up what I'm working on right now, and I'll load the samples and re-save them properly. Enough of this sillyness!

Something else to keep in mind is the folder structure - if you move/rename folders, the KSC files have nothing to link to, so make sure you're keeping the directory structure the same as well.

Give me about an hour or so and I'll try and fix it for you and post the zip file with the updated stuff here.

Okay, try this now:

https://audora.ca/wp-content/uploads/20 ... NK2017.zip

When you load the KSC file, choose "Clear Sample Mode Data" which will clear out what you have in there already, however will put the samples in the correct location without wiping out your preload.ksc file.

Let me know if that works!

It's finally working. I cleared out everything from the first attempt and then loaded in the new files you sent. All of the programs were in different locations this time but with your map and looking at the old files, I was able to correct the combi tracks to the right locations.
Now all I have to do is learn the song and remember where everything is.
Thanks so much for your help. What is the location of your paypal where I can send a donation?

I'm glad you got everything working! Yeah, loading those sounds can be a pain - That's why I really like the "PCG Tools" application. Works incredibly for offline adjusting of sounds.

https://www.paypal.me/audora/ is my paypal page, and while a donation isn't necessary I appreciate your sentiment :)

Just glad to help!

Dave,
Two minor problems:
EE006 Channel 4 doesn't sustain like EE002 Channel 5 does (the Dm6 sustains but the Dm7 doesn't.
The very top C -Uptown Pwer Synth Chord EE001 doesn't drop an octave with SW2 but the synth to the left of it does.
Without taking too much of your time, can you direct me where to fix these two minor problems? I've looked but haven't been able to find where to change the settings. I assume both changes reside in the combi somewhere but don't know where.
Thanks,

Thanks,
Let me take a look when I can. I'm not 100% on how you have your setup configured - Maybe email me at dave.champagne1@gmail.com and I'll help you offline off of the forum stuff.

Thanks!
