This was purchsed 12th October. Kind of surprised getting one so "old". Do you think Korg recycles returned models? This kind of would make sense, since I'm suffering from fan and cut off notes issues...

Thinking of either repairing or sending it back.

Sorry to hear you have problems with it. I don't have mine at home but I will get serial 803, which also is (quite) old.

Yup. Kind of was fearing this, when I saw the serial number. Dunno where on Earth that one has been sailing...

I already heard they put the new dialwheel on it (stripped from another Korg), but those are distributed freely by Korg.

Yeah, they did. The insurance company said it would cost them more to part it out than it was worth to them since they don't normally handle this kind of thing. Since they were just going to trash it, they let me keep it!

Of course PinkFloydDudi, we're not really cousins anymore!
