Hi
Went to a demo at PMT Birmingham UK yesterday with the brilliant Luke Edwards from Korg UK.
He showed the broad capabilities of this really well. The thing that struck me was how full it sounded - this is no toy. I have several analog synths including a Moog Voyager, MS20 and a new Prophet 6 and the Minilogue seemed to have a rich and warm tone, could do lovely smooth pads if wanted but could also be very aggressive. Luke did several demos playing to some backing tracks and the leads and bass sounds were expressive and full.
The arp and sequencer were also very good but currently no latch for the arp. Luke agreed this is not ideal and he has fed back to the engineers.
Build quality looked fine and the screens were very clear. For the money this is an incredible instrument.
