Just read that the case is aluminum! That's pretty impressive given that the MOX is all plastic. Also it does seem that it's a different hammer action; they are calling it Natural Weighted Hammer Action.madbeatzyo111 wrote:Interesting to see that KORG is able to match the MOX8 weight. I wonder if they also had to use a lighter hammer action in order to achieve it.Jan1 wrote:

From all us sound-engineering nerds: UNDERWHELMING! IF they're gonna make a "major announcement," they should make sure they've got a couple products to show for it. The company that brought us super-cool, hyper-intuitive products like the Kaoss Pads and Electribes really left us holding our limpening dicks over this one...
The piano sounds were great along with the demo performances, but...I could go buy a Kurz K2000s for $350 with all the fixin's if I wanted a workstation. I already own a Korg TR that sees more dust than a crypt because it's all boring PCM.

Pretty disappointed about that announcement. Was hoping for something more inventive.

Very bad move from korg inc... major announcements for yet another rompler??? and news leaked from korg japan hours before streaming..... wasted opportunity ....

What I really meant was, this didn't sound like a major announcement to me! It's probably a good but an entry level keyboard and doesn't deserve this much attention at all.Sharp wrote:KORG Inc should have made the KORG UK, Germany wait to release the news until KORG USA's live stream started.Assyrianpianist wrote:So Korg Krome was the major announcement, right?
The way KORG USA timed all this on their end and the update of the website was great in my opinion.
Regards
Sharp.
"Kronos" was a major announcement.
