I'm not certain that I fully understand what is needed, to be fair. I may have misread or misinterpreted the posts due to alcohol consumption.

In which case, go with the KARMA trick.

OK, what I wanted to do was play say like an EP sound and then switch on the extra timbres but when I unmute those timbres I didn't want them to automatically be on due to the sustain pedal being held down. so it seems like the Karma option is what I want lol
