I'm more likely to spring for a completely different DAW rather than upgrade to LX in the forseeable future.
I have yet (knock on wood) to have any issues what so ever with Logic X. I am very happy with it.

Just watched a video about track stacks, that alone really has me sold! Seems a lot like combis in the Kronos. I wonder if the other daws do this as well, I imagine some must. But since I am more familiar with logic it seems like a better way to go.

Yes track stacks is awesome it is very reminiscent of like what they have in Kontakt and yes like the Kronos as well. The new plugin synths are very cool also.

If you do get it for Christmas or even after what I recommend doing is watching tutorials on macpro video and on Youtube this way that will give you a head start. There also will be a Book called Logic Pro X: Audio and Music production that is coming out in January.

Already started that, that was how I learned about stacks! I am going to watch the one for using it as a plugin in X next!

I hate paying monthly and wanted to finish the needed one and cancel but I don't see an end in sight to the videos I want to see!

That is what I did I paid for 1 month sent an e-mail that I wanted to cancel, they gave me a free month. Then I waited a month and signed up for the year at a little less than $17 per month.

There is so much good stuff on there I could not leave it.

Hell, the logic videos alone are worth the price of admission! And yet there is still so much more!

Just got an e-mail today telling me there is a download that you can watch MPV tutorials directly in Logic Pro X. I am going to have to check it out.

I can't believe I became such a geeky tech head. Oh well.

Got the same email. Sure doesn't make me any more patient! But what a great idea, tutorials you can launch from within the DAW!

It is a really cool feature but it seemed to push my computer a little more than I liked and I have a 12 core. So I took it off for now. I may try it again soon.

Well just another reason to desire the new Mac Pro! Doh!

Do you have much ram in the 12 core beast? I would have thought it would have just spit it out just fine!

Yes I do 24 GB + I have (2) 2 TB external drives for audio and video files to keep things running smooth.
I may have to revisit the issue. It could have been that my animal was acting up.

Yea something sounds off there. I think your hardware shouldn't even have had a hiccup with what you were doing. Doggy connection somewhere, funny power. I wonder does it stream through the DAW? I wonder if this wouldn't be an Internet or network issue? Seems like the most likely place to start.

You know I do have a couple HD one 1tb and a couple 500+ gig. I should just use them and transfer stuff over.I can decide on an ssd later, why delay what I want to do, just have to remember to back things up.

Might have some time now to get things sorted. Threw my back out bad so I won't be building any decks or working with the tractor at all this weekend! Have to look at the bright side right!

Only tried it once but I figure I can always minimize also I don't have to be that lazy!

I think the glyph's are well worth the money.

I hope all goes well with your back, not a easy thing to deal with, there are better ways such as vacation to get time off you did not have to go to that extreme..........
