If we can change how midi works on the KP3 then imagine if we could make a serious change in the KO Pro?
Wouldn't that be awesome...imagine if we can have the Pro finally recieve midi note information, or better yet if in global (not external mode) the pro can be set to send midi note data or CC...we make the choice.
Seriously if we could at least send Midi note data in global that would be a huge advantage in controlling other synths...because in global we have the arp functions and can apply those to external synths.

Totally... similarly, the ability to recognize MIDI Start commands as a trigger to re-sync the clock (again in Global mode, not Ext) would make a HUGE difference for the usefulness of either machine for synced setups

Wouldn't that be good. If it was that easy, wouldn't Korg have issued an OS upgrade, or added it to the new + versions?MarcusCarab wrote:Totally... similarly, the ability to recognize MIDI Start commands as a trigger to re-sync the clock (again in Global mode, not Ext) would make a HUGE difference for the usefulness of either machine for synced setups
Good luck with this project though

I just can't see why it would be difficult. The syncing function already exists -- it's what happens when you pres shift-tap, which restarts the clock and all the samples. I can see simply no reason why that function couldn't be set up to trigger and/or be triggered by a MIDI Start command. Even if the functionality was imperfect and occasionally caused strange sample/program behaviour, it would be infinitely better than NO syncing functionality beyond a basic bpm match.
