Hi Wavedrumer!
Were you sworn to secrecy or can you give us hint as to what new looper?
I'd imagine its not out yet be we are on a "Need To Know Basis" over here!!
On a different note (I thinks it's an E sharp.........) I'm gonna start diggin' into my new TC Helicon VoiceLive Touch.
The looping facilities seem very cool and very easy to manipulate for live work.
New Toy Oh Ay Oh

Actually, much to my surprise, the video just went public.

VOX Lil' Looper
http://www.voxamps.com/uk/pedals/lillooper/
Pretty straightforward, nothing over the top. My role was to support the guitar, as that is the main market for this particular pedal. Of course there are always cool parts that don't make the final cut, but it's a product video not a performance showcase.
I recently dug up an old video of one my solo percussion loop performances from about 15 years ago. I may edit it a bit and post something just to document what I was doing at that time. There are some nice textures and grooves on that old tape. I'll let you guys know if I do.

Sounds like its purely designed for live performances. You could always record the live performance though...Bertotti wrote:I just saw the second link. Not stereo and no sd card of usb connectivity. Kind of rules it our for me. Maybe the next version.

Wowzerz!
That is a very nice price point for that amount of functionality!
I'm set for loopers but I gotta check one out.
Time to make some noise at the local Guitar Center and then walk out without buying. Again..............
(Actually GC gets alot of my business out of necessity)

Yes, the RC20XL is a lot of fun...
The RC20XL (only second hand now) does NOT have this problem, unlike BOSS's current models. I looked it up on looperpedalreviews.com
I now have one for sale, not a scratch on it, nearly unused .... which I can part with for €150 .
Seems I'm more into using Ableton Live at the moment and the pedal is getting neglected.

I just got rid of a BOSS RC-3 cuz there was a slight delay when switching from loop to loop.
I understand that a few (if not all) BOSS loopers have this "attribute".

Didn't know that about the RC-3 but read about that problem on the RC-30. I have the RC-300 and it seems to work fine. I read that on the RC-30 the trick was to set the tempo first... but that kind of takes the fun out of being spontaneous. The RC-20(xl), if I recall correctly, is not a stereo looper pedal... so using it with a Kronos limits its use.Panason wrote:Yes, the RC20XL is a lot of fun...

I am very interested in this set up, but how do you hook up a switchbox to a USB computer keyboard? I was thinking I could use midi learn in Ableton Live to have some foot triggers activate start / stp/ record / next clip.WaterDrum wrote:yeah a volume pedal is very useful , also in effect loops
here is a "DAW handsfree wireless solution" :
computer with cubase (or similar) in loop recording mode...
hardwired cable out of a wireless USB keyboard
down to a nonlatch 4 switch box
functions:
start - rec - stop - next track
mouse next to it
easy , cheap modification
very comfortable
