How many hoaxes have I posted? That would be zero, as far as I recall, except perhaps for obvious jokes. I have better things to do than invent elaborate hoaxes. I don't come here to deceive anyone.

Now consider that Yamaha is a big company where the left hand doesn't know what the right hand is doing, so releasing info for a big show might not be very carefully controlled. In any case, you'll see in a few days that it's 100% legitimate.

I believe in it since a while ago it was said by Stephen himself that he was
already working on a KARMA Software for the Motif, nothing surprising or
nonbelievable, anything is possible.

Stephen Kay DID say he was going to reveal something at Winter NAMM.

This could be it.

No problem. I just don't want anyone to get the wrong impression that I like to yank people's chain by posting hoaxes. Skepticism is healthy and warranted, particularly when so many other people get some kind of sick thrill about intentionally trying to mislead people. I've got no problem with funny mockups as parody or wishful thinking, but that's not the same thing as trying to pass something off as real when it's an intentional hoax.

I use Karma with extreme moderation (as in "never in my life I'll be caught having a machine arpeggio for me),

and I am usually the sceptic curmudgeon,

but

Karma going multi-platform is the kind of advancement I heartily cheer.

Trans-brand software components will have to happen sooner or later. These are just the first steps.

Compliments to SK from a "modular-minded" guy.

And to Yamaha.

And to Korg, if it will understand and support this.

As a Motif ES owner this is pretty hot news.

When I bought my ES six years ago I was actually shopping for the Karma but overall the Motif impressed me more and I've been very satisfied with it.

Wonder what other big NAMM surprises are coming.

Obviously it is not a hoax, so we will welcome the Motif community at karma-lab very soon.
Let's see who will start the "M3 vs. Motif/Karma" thread

From the press release, only Motif XS and XF are supported. It's still unclear if KARMA will work with the Motif ES and Classic versions, too?!
