TR has 64. Sample memory can be only 64 megs. It is still not enough.
Better get a second hand Extreme.
Well, i thought that it is ligal, becouse at yamaha forum, there is a sticked topic how i can get multisamples from Motif Es to MO.

But well, i am now consedering about new key board, so i am betwing korg M3 and Yamaha XS.

M3has 1024 multisimles but yamaha motif XS about 2500
Hmmmmm??? :?

Korg Oassys has about 1500 multi simples so when i will ask how i can get
that multi simples from oassys to M3 and again it will be ilegal,
well maby i will better buy yamaha then korg

P.S.
ofcouse i don't want to say that for me more importent amoun of multy simples then quality, but i think i will find more sounds with 2500 then with 1000 multisimples

If you need a giga workstation why not to get a PC? For example Symphonic Orchestra has 40gigs of multisamples :)
TR workstation is not about getting more and more multisamples. It is about easy way of creating music.
You will never use all of 256 mb of Extreme because they are all different type of music.
The best way is to see what you can do on 64 megs, than if you feel that it is really not enough better get some VST instrument for PC. This is cheaper way to solve your problem.

This reminds me of why I quit going to the Motifator forum.
Too much crying, and "Yamaha is sooo much better".

Stop counting multisamples and start listening. M1 has WAY less multisamples yet still remains THE best sounding Korg ever.

The best sounding korg, but not the best sounding synthesizer

But in true the word" the best'' for each of us has different meaning.

Well when i will buy my next synth i will try both m3 and motif xs,
but even with out trying it i still hardly can belive then i will buy korg m3 instid of motif xs, but well, will see.... 8)

Hey tell me what kind of music do you play.

Don't come here any more to tell just multi samples multisamples and multisamples means.. MULTISAMPLES.

Go buy a motif xs. it has all you want 355mb rom.
M3 has only 256mb

I understood you need more multisample not music.
Go buy motif xs. It has good sounds and more ROM i mean MORE MULTISAMPLES. HEHEEEHEEE..

If you are a good listener then buy a triton extreme with moss and a motif rack xs. You will have a killer setup.

Well i play Symphonic metal, so i need all kind of synth as well, but for me very importent to have good orkestral sounds at first, and what i have heared motif XS is fare better with orchestral sounds.

So now i am thinking about Korg m3 or Oassys + Motif XS rack, or jast yamaha motif XS7 :?

but if i want oassys i need to wait with my new synth couple of month....

P.S.
I newer use drums, electric, acustics guitars, or basses so it is usles garbage for me

sonaroid wrote:You can load wav files into TR's memory, but you can not use them without sampling board. In order to use wavs in Korg w/o sampling board, you must first convert them into korg format. The best (and probably the only) program for that is Awave Studio as demonp said.

In Awave Studio you import samples from whatever format (Akai, Roland etc or just raw wavs), set keymap and other sampler related parameters, then save your work as Triton Script file. Save it to SD card, put the card into Korg and load script file. After that you will see your multisample in RAM section. Just go to OSC page of program editing.
Hello, I'm new to the forum. Really need some help here guys. Just got a TR. Could you please elaborate on how to accomplish importing samples via SD card without Sampling Option? I'm having trouble.

Using AWAVE, I save the .wav or .aiff file as a .KSF file directly onto the SD card. I then put the SD card into the Korg TR, the .KSF file pops up, no problem. Then I choose UTILITY>LOAD SELECTED. It *says* it loads but then....nothing. When I look in the RAM section under OSC 1 all I have is "NewMS-----000" and it is blank...no sound.

Am I missing some step here converting between the .wav file and the "multisample" that is used as the building block for a program?

I just want to make my own programs so much! I thought it'd be a simple plug and chug...not so much I see!

One last thought: The Awave program is $100?!? I can get the sampling upgrade for like half that on ebay! What crap!

Thanks for your help!
