hello, for the first:
thanks for share this for us.
for second:
i got a question
how i can organize the sound directly in space of my korg x50
i did the same work as You and try to save sound for my korg but after that i got my bank A totally clean (only first sound was from Triton).
so, i change only 1 space from 127 but it overwrite all the 127 sounds and make 1 sound only.
can i dirrectly save the Triton sound into bank A sound 04 or 05 for example?
how i can do this with HEX editor?
thanks!

After loading the bank, save the one program by hitting Save and choosing "Save as type..." Program (*.xProg) to save the individual program to a xProg file. Then load another bank, and the do the Load by changing "Files of type..." to Program (*.xProg). All this occurs in the editor memory. You can send and retrieve individual programs from the editor to the X50 using the Utility "Transmit 1 Prog" or "Receive 1 Prog".
No hex editing is required to do this.

I just got a very good deal on a used X50 to put on top of my Fantom G for shows. I dug up this old thread on loading Triton sounds into the X50, but this process doesn't seem to work for me. I edited the bank number as suggested in the first post and tried to import the edited .pcg file into the X50's editor. There are no warning or error messages, but the patches from the PCG file do not show up in the editor's browser.
Any idea what's going on? I am at work and don't have an X50 physically connected to the computer while I'm doing this (shouldn't be necessary, but you never know -- that might be why it's not working).

You also can use PCG Tools for this. It is a free tool written by me which can do a lot with Triton PCG files ... also copying programs/combis from banks E and further to bank A to D.

Crap...never even thought about that! I've been using PCG Tools on the Kronos for a while. Is there a separate version I need to get for the Triton?michelkeijzers wrote:You also can use PCG Tools for this. No the version supports all models at the same time. you can even load PCG files from different models together, but of course you cannot copy programs/combis from one workstation model to another.BillW wrote:Crap...never even thought about that! loaded them onto banks B C D via x50 editor.
saved the .xall file so i can load up all 3 in 1 go whenever i want.
peice of cake and some nice dirty sounds, amongst others.
some not great but worth a mess.
worth saving your settings as a .xall via the editor before, just in case you loose stuff!
Time to pilage the internet for more random sound collections.
