Thank you ! Last night I had fun pretending to play an actual MS-20. The screen angle helps quite a bit to be more precise, including connecting wires on the MS-20 patch panel.

Wow!

I'm not even brave enough to add a second SSD myself! This is beyond my technical skills by light years.

Hi Sam and thank you for the comments. Adding a second SSB as a slave device is not very complicated on older Kronos models. On a Kronos 2, it is more difficult as you have to remove more things (front fender/bumper, then the action, then a protective metal plate). So if you have an older Kronos, that would be a nice first mod to do. Or a local electronics/computer tech could do it for you.

A bit more info about my mod. Since there is no room to install a laptop-type variable tilt hinge on the Kronos without compromising the original look (which for me was very important to keep), the only way to have the screen at a given angle is to install little foldaway sticks which hide under the extremely cramped space under the LCD. Every cubic millimeter under there is counted. :cop:

Hi 1002 and thank you for your nice comments. Since I've done this mod, I have to admit I like my Kronos even more.

What are the knobs and buttons for near the joystick?

Thank you narf and Drummond !

Yes, the little pot and button in the main joystick section are part of a previous mod to optimize the aftertouch (AT) response. To initiate/start the AT on the 88-key models, it can take quite a bit of pressure so by adding a simple circuit to the existing op-amp one dedicated to AT, the threshold can be reached more easily and the whole AT becomes more responsive.

So does this logically suggest you could do a video out ?
to a touchscreen tablet or ...?
if they start to push your buttons...
stop sewing them on.
