Recording a Style to a DAW (Cubase Issue) via MIDI

No thats correct. However you should double check that it is not set to midi thru and that tempo send/receive is disabled. Also that cubase is set not to alter the program changes or transmit them. Check the cubase midi out filter settings as well to ensure that sysex and program changes are added in to the filter. Another way is to disregard the program changes because you can delete them after you import the midi into the style
