It's not nearly like the M3 was, at least for me (have had both new). Did anyone else use electrical tape in the M3's panel grooves like I did?

Thanks for the quick response to this issue. It would be nice to know at what serial number the fix in production started if you have that information. That way we know whether we should go get a new data knob or not.

Are the 73's and 88's going to need the replacement knob too or will it be rectified before then?

Do you guys remember the EPS? The keyboard make loud clacking sounds. The sales guy told me that it was a cool feature. He said some artists put a mic on the keyboard to record it and mix it in.

So rattle is GOOD!

Haha yes! I still use an EPS as an controller for my practice rig when my gigging rig is in the trailer. Thing clacks like an old train! Never heard the line about it being a GOOD thing though!

But that keybed has never given my any problems in 20+ years.

The EPS was the only other keyboard than the Kronos that I bought sight unseen. The specs were amazing for the time.

I did like it, but never got the use out of it that I imagined when I read the specs.

Old Ensoniq synths had great keys. The EPS keys felt like old IBM mechanical keyboards. I loved them. The TS-10, to me, had the best synth action keyboard. I wished my 01/Wfd had had keys like them.

RichF wrote:Hi everyone,

We understand that a small number of our first Kronos customers have a value dial that can be removed too easily. We are acquiring a supply of newly-designed replacement dials, which will be available for free from your local Korg distributor. If your Kronos has a loose value dial, please do NOT use glue or any other kind of adhesive to attempt to secure it, as this can void your warranty. Please also note that this problem has been fixed for current and future Kronos production.

To find and contact your local Korg distributor, please use this link:
