Hi Nedim,

Does that mean Lee has to get all 18 keyboards, or would it be 19 including the Audya? :-)

Can I join the club as well, since my M3 is ordered and hopefully on the way?

Best regards,
Rob

Rob, Nedim, (and the gang)
You guys are a blast...Yeah...I can see it now I have 19 keyboards and NOW no wife! AND probably no house either as she would probably get that! AND she would e-bay all 19 keyboards! -:)

My plan would be to MIDI a Korg M3M to the PA...and maybe use my lower keyboard the CME UF70 also to play the M3M...

With the M3...do we really get GREAT sounds or just more of the same kind on the PA...

I auditioned one a year ago and...well it was OK, but a lot of the sounds had the same issues as the PA2...meaning, varying timbre note to note especially in 5 note groups. and that terrible vibrato issue note to note as well. I wander does OS2 on the M3 give really outstanding new sounds?

AND any DNC stuf?

Lee

Hi Lee,

My M3 will not come until end of October. The edge of all my seats will be worn out before then.

I have also ordered the EXB-M256 RAM card, the EXB-FW firewire card (DAW integration on PC), and the EXB-Radias card (synth sound expansion based on the Radias).

Anyway, between now and then I hope you and Nedim will work out how to MIDi up the Pa2x with the M3, so I can use Style based programming on the Pa2x to trigger both sounds and Karma arpeggios on the M3.

Will you be getting the PC-based Karma Editor for the M3 from karma labs?

Best regards,
Rob

Lee, i already have no wife, i HAD one once upon the time, it was a choice
between 18 boards and a wife...so i was in love! Yes, you need 19.

Rob, i already did that last night, played PA800 with M3 sounds, i also use
the PA800 to trigger SD2. Not with the KARMA things yet.

Nedim,

Looking Good!!!

I have acquired a M3 about one month ago, and I am currently in the process of making oriental/arabic sounds with the M3.

Once I get a few of them together, I will send you the PCG...

I hope all is well.

Nedim,

Your secret is out - that is a false cigarette - because it is exactly the same one in both photos :-) And there was me doing all this construction work to build you a special one-off clip on cigarette tray for the left hand end of your keyboards. And now I realise you probably won't need it.

Westfield, NJ, as it says. ;)

I used to gig in Staten Island all the time, many years ago. Takes me about 35 minutes or so to get there. There was this club called "The Caves" that had rock bands on one side, and a sort of a smaller room on the other with me and a sax player as the regular weekend entertainment. Don't know if it's still there...I think not. Anyway, this was more than 20 years ago. :)
