Everything is revealed on day one.
I believe it used to be that way in the past, however, now I suspect everything is announced on Day 1, or in some cases even before NAMM starts. Why the change? Likely the web with streaming video etc. Just too much opportunity for free advertising!

Absolutely..lol..
I thought the idea of having the Data Wheel rotate around the Vector Joy Stick was pretty darn nice.
Maybe one of these days KORG will give me a job.

Data wheel idea is sweet - I like it
Just needs buttons either side of it to increment/decrement (maybe curved around the data wheel) and then we're cooking!

How complex of a rhythm have you ever gotten from a piano roll editor? Lol....I'm talking about keyboard parts with two handed chords....not drum and bass patterns....
I just noticed i-MX1 is listed as an optional extra.
Being that i-MX1 is an official Yamaha Midi Interface for the iPad, I think it's safe to assume you can connect a midi keyboard to the iPad for this app?
I'd wait until I see it in black and white but it's looking pretty prommsing. For the price, who could complain either.
Regards
Sharp.
I have the io dock....you think that will work? I don't wanna spend the money if it doesn't.
Just watched this video.

The guy says in the video you can hook up a midi keyboard.

But they didn't say annoying about that when I mentioned it on the motifator website

This is one of the best new ideas I've seen so far at NAMM 2013
If only it was for Windows as well.

Ok I purchased the app... I'm going to go through the manual a little and then I'll try to post a little tutorial video. Or at least a user video (probably won't be good enough at it to do a tutorial)
But I can confirm that it does at least recognize the Alesis IO dock and the midi ports... so thats a good thing. More to come later.

Ok guys... this app is it!!!! Motif Pattern Mode in full bloom, PLUS SOME on the KRONOS or whatever else you want to trigger it from.
Amazing...(well I did have some hung midi notes, but that may something that I was doing)....
I like it (I've had it just over an hour now, but I still like it so far)

Sound exciting.
I understand that you can sequence using it's own internal sounds, but if you remain connected by midi to your keyboards, can you used them as the entire sound source as you are working away?

Sharp.

Absolutely correct. And the internal sounds are not bad either...
But yes you can send the midi data back out to something externally....
This is a really nice app. Exactly what I'd been waiting for.
