Damper pedal holding arp

Post by kashunator »

Hi everyone,
I wonder: is there a way to set a damper pedal to hold the arpeggiator pattern?
There is a song in which I really need the arpeggiator to run while I play other things in a different zone (Combi mode) and then - while both my hands are still busy I need to turn the arpeggiator off.
I can sort of reach over with one hand to turn it off with the button, but I have to do it in a split second so it's barely doable without resulting in a weird gap in the sound and that's in my home studio, so I can foresee major issues if I try to do that during a gig.
If I could hold the pattern with my damper pedal, it would solve the problem but no matter how deep I dived into the different settings, I couldn't make it work.
Any ideas?

The Damper pedal input can only be used for the Damper function. The Foot Switch pedal input, on the other hand, can be assigned in the Global settings to Arpeggiator on/off, Latch on/off. Swapping the Damper pedal over to the other input, or getting another switch pedal, would be the way to go.
