USB problem -NOT the usual Driver issue -ideas?

Post by kusho »

My prologue doesn't seem to connect to PC software anymore via USB. I don't think this is the infamous Korg USB driver problem.

This problem happens with BOTH Korg Librarian software and also the Sunny Synths Panel application which has a handy librarian feature.

The Korg USB driver seems fine, and both software apps show MIDI connection as working, but when trying to receive something into the PC from the Prologue both software apps say-
"time out, please check MIDI connection".

The Prologue service manual doesn't have any self-test function for USB, only for analogue parts.
I wonder if the Korg service agent will be able to do anything? I had a voice card replaced in the past and they were great.

Ideas?
