M50 VST EDITOR

Well I've finally got the editor vst for my M50 loaded, no driver errors, no hardware errors, everything looks fine. But...
I only hear sound from the vst's keyboard but my meters in Cakewalk don't move. I get no sound from the physical M50 keyboard and no meters. Cakewalk sees the M50 input and output in midi settings. The midi driver is in slot 6 in the Uninstall utility, connected. The driver is in my hardware and sound in my Windows 11 control panel. In the vst global settings, the M50 is in the midi in and out ports, connected.
When I select a prog or combi from the vst, it sends the change to the M50, but no sound or meters. Anyone have any idea of what could be the problem and if there's a fix?
I have the driver's advanced setting in Windows 11 set to Both - 32 and 64 bit as per Korg tech support. I've tried every combination of input and output in Cakewalk but nothing works. I'd greatly appreciate any help. Thanks very much.
