As the PA5x now has slider catch option it would be great to have "actual" LED indicator strip next to each slider (like Roland Fantom. Jupiter-80 etc...)

Therefore, I think it would be better to have a 2-, possibly more-line ribbon display (as in the case of genos) due to the display of more information! This also requires hardware changes!
However, in the current case, it could be solved with software so that the info on the display changes every 2-3 seconds: function / value

RECOMMENDATIONS for PA5X system
(We have already sent some of them to the development group! Magyarország AudMax Ktf.)

- PAD
- When tapping the PAD on the MAIN screen, it would be nice if it would jump to the PAD currently in use, where I can choose another PAD, just like in the case of KeyboardSet or Styles! (Same as for previous Pa's)
- Could be MIDI commands for PADs:
(PAD selection, Start, Stop, Volume)
- InsertFX could be ordered for PADs as well as for any other tone or drum kit!
- When starting PAD sync start, Style or MIDI

- USER SOUND/DK
- There could even be more USER SOUND and USER DRUMKIT:
(User 7, User 8, UserDK 4)

- MEMORY LOCK
- Option to overwrite Factory data (Sound, Style, Pad, etc...)

- SONG PLAY/REC
- Assign at least one MIDI channel to an MP3 file, or assign an MP3 file to a MIDI file. Its purpose would be that if an MP3 file is used as a base, then the MIDI clock signal could control the BPM-based Delay effects for the vocal effect. Or you could even send a BPM clock signal to an external device, as well as send MIDI commands to an external DMX controller while playing MP3 files!
Or if this is not possible, in the case that an MP3 file is saved in the SongBook, a BPM value could be set for the same purpose!
- Playing or even recording WAV files!
- 4 PADs and KeyboardSets could be associated with MIDI files in the same way as with Styles!

- USER FX
- It could be USER FX (saving effect settings modified/edited by us, for later use. Same as say Vocal Presets)

- STYLE/MIDI CONTROL
- Kick and Snare option could even be used for MIDI files!
- Usual order of Style channels (Drums, Percussion, Bass, Acc1-Acc5)

- DISPLAY
- Score view could be sent to an external display (currently there are only Lyrics and Display Mirror)
- For Sounds, the font size of the program change codes could be a little bigger
- In the Show as LIST view, the possibility to turn on and off the display of SIZE and DATE
(I see such an option in the SETTINGS, PREFERENCES, FILES tab, but it cannot be activated at the moment!)

Hi,
give us back all the great style editing functions we had pa2x,3X,4X.. One doesn’t expect to have fewer functions when upgrading a keyboard.

The ability to sync a pad with the style so they both start playing together at the same time when you play the chord , without having to reach across and press the pad button. Yamaha has this feature and it’s brilliant. Can’t remember if this function existed on prior korgs or if I’m missing a setting?

The ability to export / import chord sequences or edit onboard Again , I can do it on Yamaha. Again if , doable please let me know
best wishes

Add the option to synchronize the start of mp3 recording with the start of the player.

Enable recording to wav.

When I press the Control/User button <<FRW and FFW>>, I need to see the current bar number on the mini display. (Just as the value is shown when using sliders.)

Please add the ability to add a Locate button to Control/User with the same meaning as on the Korg Kronos. Activate Locate function alternatively with Shift+Back button in Player.

When editing and saving a Song, you should be offered the option to change the name and thus save a copy, instead of overwriting the original file.

Allow matrix buttons to be set to function that can be set to Control/User buttons.

In the file list, click on the file icon to add the file to the marked files. I.e. the same as Shift + clicking on the file name.

Howto fire drums sound from any key?

Post by petr14 »

Is there a way to make the same sound from the Drums set (Jingle Bell) when you press any key on keyboard?

Hmm, interesting, I thought I started a separate topic for that.

Pad and Matrix don't sound every time I press a key. But I already figured it out, the way is to make your own sound. I edited the GM Drums, copied the B5 sound to all the other keys and saved it as a new sound. This can then be used as layer 3. It's fast because you can copy the selected range of keys. I copied 1 key, then 2, then 4, then 8 and so on.

It would be very useful if you could assign a series of midi commands to the Pads. Perhaps I would like to change two different tempos in this way, each assigned to one pad.

It would also be handy if system settings could be done using Midi commands. Then you could use the pads to change the basic settings of the keys. For example, the accelerando parameters, which for some reason is a system setting, although it would be more suitable for SongBook.

More Voice than 160 is a recuest since there is 2 separate Player of the Styles! Using 2 styles mixed, and adding a Piano sound kills the Voices. Better handling or more POWER to the Voices like 256 as in the other new generation of KB,s!

Sf2 import as the KRONOS / NAUTILUS !

Maybe a extra FX that can eliminate the Noise from samples like in KRONOS!
