Pa5x Factory Styles Needed - Convert to USER SET

Can Anybody from the PA5x Keyboard owners volunteer to create and post a copy (SET) of the factory styles on the forums for other to try please.
Kindly copy the factory styles and paste them into the USERS slots; then create and save them into a SET file folder and post it on the group.
I have Korg PA700 and PA1000 and I used the PA4X styles that were posted one this forums on both machines and they worked successfully.

Pa5X has changed STY to STG format that is no more compatible with older PaSeries when resources are saved in .KST format.

Some users claimed that have manage to save factory Styles to STY files format that are readable by Pa4X/1000 , but this is
inaccurate since Pa5X do save style resources in STG format and just renaming extension to STY would not be translated correctly
and maybe will cause serious problems in Pa4X/Pa1000 , so do not experiment with your healthy Pa4X looking for freezing issues !

I want to remind this topic to users that own both Pa5X & Pa4X/Pa1000 !

Do not rename STG extension of Pa5X saved Styles format to STY and fooling your Pa4X/Pa1000 by loading them ,
two Pa4X customers that did it have faced serious Pa4X freezing issues with these corrupted loaded Styles in banks !
Same is valid for the opposite !

With changing header or extension of a file , corrupted data values will be inserted in different arrangers that will cause
serious issues until totally deleted or make a factory restore !

Did you find any way to convert the styles?
I could somehow do it , but i would need screen shots from every settings pages /style , so i can rebuild the styles in a more accurate level.

- Pa5X factory styles can not be directly exported since factory resources are locked and can only copied at user folders and saved externally.
- Pa5X format of styles is not STY but as in Yamaha STG format and fully incompatible with any Korg arranger , and it's not only the header but the whole file.
Therefore if anybody claims that owns not modified Pa5X Styles in STY format , it's fake news !
- Almost 90% of Pa5X styles are older PaSeries styles with older Pa4X factory multisamples (except some new Round-Robin DKs) that are modified
with new many insert FX and finallizer that combined with new sound engine make the great difference !
- IMHO its completely uselessness for someone to try to recreate them in Pa4X !

I already have some of them,from older models probably,but not all.
I also have exported the midies from quite many pa5x' styles ,
so if someone could provide snapshots from all style's settings,i could re-create them for pa4x

If someone already has all the old ones that are missing from pa4x and could share them,that would save quite a lot of time.

Hello, Some time ago I posted the first 10 styles from the Pa5X for the older Korg Pa models.
(Pa4X) I came in the best possible way...
I published them in their original state without editing. Everyone could adapt the adjustments to their own taste.
Due to the imperfection of the system and missing options from Pa4x, I stopped working with Pa5X until it contains at least what the predecessor of Pa4X had.

My thought was better to wait. Korg is in the process of fine-tuning the Pa5X system, and then I will continue as well.
I don't feel like waiting until Korg finishes its work.

korgpask could you explain the procedure,how you converted them ?
Having pa5x and pa4x side by side ,could easy re-create them ,
was that how you did it or you just extracted the midies and then imported them on a new initialized settings style ?

Hi ,
I was wondering if anyone has done a list of styles that were in The PA4x, but don’t exist in the PA5x. Unfortunately I no longer have my Pa4x , so I can’t do one. Can’t just do them by name either, I vaguely remember they used to rename the occasional one , or use the same name again, but not exactly the same style.
I downloaded some of the Pa4x bonus styles, and some of those appear to be on PA5x. Just need to audition them to see if they are identical.

I am confused.
Does that mean the PA5x can't play a xxxx.STY file?
I have a pile of them on a thumb drive, Yamaha format I am sure (played fine on my old Genos), but the PA5X doesn't recognize these files. Must I rename them?

Page 666 of the Korg user guide explains what to do
Importing data from other instruments .

I imported all my old styles, and only a few didn’t work. They may have been corrupted in the first place.

I can see the styles after copying them from the thumb drive. However, they are underlined in red, and do not highlight in white making them available to play. Why is that?

To transfer styles from Pa5X to older Korg Pa models, I know - I know several methods.
So I say it is possible.
I will NOT do it yet. Let korg work FULLY and make an OS at least like Pa4X has...
Then I will make it as a gift.
