Good stuff, apex! Definitely welcome from my perspective.

It's good to see some tutorials on drums again. There are so many ways to do drums in the Kronos. Patterns, Karma, RPPR. It can get a little overwhelming trying to decide which path to take. I'm not sure I've really found my perfect drums workflow in the Kronos.

Thanks for your efforts here. Would love to see more.

Has anyone come from a Kurzweil to Korg I need help badly

Post by joemusik »

Hi Everyone I am making myself crazy, I am a Kurzweil guy its all Ive owned but there is something about the Kronos 2 that is making me want to buy one. I have one on hold but have not bought it yet , The Kurzweil is easy for me and I have a dear friend that works for Kurzweil so answers come easy and fast keeping me out of trouble , the Krog seems so hard to get around and I am just not really good with this stuff , I love the Kurzweil sounds so I am not really buying the Korg for its great sounds, I really like all the drum patterns in the Korg it seems like a lot of fun. I want to put some head phones on late at night play my Korg to some beats, Can you just pick a drum track and play along live? I know this may seem like a simple question , for 3 days it is all I have done is read about the Krog its seems great and I am excited to add it to my Kurzweil K2600 Kurzweil Forte and my Roland Fantom , honestly I am not crazy about the Roland , any thoughts? has anyone come from using a Kurzweil then to Korg I would love any input Thank you Joe

basically... yes you can. and all preset sounds have preloaded drum tracks attached. just push the drum track button and start playing.

let's not even get into karma... it will blow your mind.... drums plus basically a backing accompaniment. I'm sorry, but the Kronos will make your forget about the Kurzweil... so unless you are ready for it to get pretty dusty (the kurz), don't even look at a Kronos. It will change your life.... (in a good way)

One more thing I am fighting between 73 and 88 note

Post by joemusik »

I am so used to playing 88 note but 73 I guess I will get used to it

Has anyone gone threw that too .

Do you get used to a small keyboard , I know it depends on the music you play, has anyone gone from playing 88 all the time to 73

Thank you again
