Dumb Question - Drum and Bass - halve the tempo?

Dumb Question -

Drum and Bass - do you prefer program at the full tempo of 160 + or will you prefer halve that to get the slower bpm effects from the E2/ES2?

I'm merely a low level acolyte when it comes to DnB.

I use 87 bpm with groove templates to fill in the 16ths. I find slower tempo makes it easier to use step jump for beat chopping.

Yeah, the groove templates are working their way into my essential functions - making my ESX1 lose its attraction, for me.
