Korg Kronos X Stuck / Sticky Key what to do?

Post by projectaspen »

Got a used Kronos X, it was here for a month and when I pressed the last key to the right I realized it doesn't come back up after I press it.

I don't use it that much, but is there an easy way to fix it?

tks in advance

Likely an easy fix (often a stuck part, unglued felt, etc.) but you have to feel at ease with opening your unit and possibly remove the whole action to see what is happening, etc.

If this is an 88 or 73, the front rail can interfere with the movement of the keys causing some to stick. Flip the Kronos on its side with (the input/output jacks should be on the floor). Loosen the largest bolts. There are seven on the Kronos 73, I believe. Loosen them just enough so that they're free but don't take them out. After all have been loosened, re-tighten them. Gravity should shift the action back away from the front rail. This simple procedure has worked for me on several occasions.
