Help Korg Triton Lee

Post by Eolo »

Good morning everyone is new to the forum. I've never understood how and if you load new sounds on the keyboard. Sorry I'm not very practical. I do not know if I can have on the SD card a kind of library where to take sounds of different pianos or other instruments. I've often heard of the term samples ... Or fil of KMP and KSF ... Are these? How you do it? Help ... they must be loaded on the pc and then ??? Thanks if someone helps me

Have you read the manual? If you don't have one, you can download a PDF manual for the Triton LE from the KORG website.

Thank you for your reply. And thanks for the indication. I'm not very practical in reading the manuals ... Anyway I try. The more they are written in English while I am Italian and to write I use the translator. This is why I was looking for someone who could clarify in a few words what I have to do ...

There is a Spanish version of the manual, see:

https://www.korg.com/us/support/download/product/1/217/

With a lexical similarity between Spanish and Italian of 82% hopefully it will be easier to understand.

A useful starting point for all Korg manuals, for current and discontinued products is:

1. To load samples in the Triton LE or the Korg TR you need to own the EXB-SMPL expansion, and you need to have it and some RAM SIMMS installed.

2. to load a sample into ram, you need to go to media mode (press media key), have the smart media installed before you boot the korg.

3. From media mode, press the F2 button which takes you to the load tab.

4. navigate around folders on your smart media card. find a ksf file to load.

5. Press F8 button which opens utility menu.

6. Select Load multisample.

7. Press the SAMPLING button to go back to sample mode.

8. You may need to assign some key ranges to the samples in the multisample.

9. If there was a PCG provided, use it, otherwise, you can reference a PCG from another Program Mode patch (a program).

Once you have a multisample you still need to convert it to a PCG to play it out of the sample mode, as a program.
