Buy a Kronos get a Monologue free
Starting May 1st, Korg has a promotional program on Kronos purchases. Do manufacturers have such programs for items that are selling well?
Hmmm...

Thats even better " BIG news"benny ray wrote:Better yet buy Kronos and get a free Kronos!GregC wrote:these manufacturers should be more aggressive.
If I was president of Korg, this is what I would do:
Buy a Kronos get a Montage free

Going to try to get serious.
Giving away a 24 key synth that was offered for $299, been on the market for
18 months is not very aggressive IMO.
I bet we will see dozens of MINTY BRAND New Monologues on eBay in a month.
I have been saying this all year- the k2 is overpriced ( lets take the 88) at $3699.
Likely sales have slowed , now Korg is attempting low cost gimmicks to induce a few more sales.
It would have been more useful to offer a $300 Korg gift certificate , useful
for 3rd party sample libs or Korg pedals, etc etc.
As we know, I should be Korg President.

It doesn't have to be "or". It could be there is a slowdown in sales AND they're planning a successor.benny ray wrote:Or they're trying to blow out the Kronos to introduce the Kronos 3 OOPS! Just kidding.ITguy54 wrote:That's what I'm thinking.GregC wrote:

if you really want the Mono that much, you are in the 30 day window for a return.drama1 wrote:I purchased mine middle of April.ITguy54 wrote:??? The promotion just started on May 1st. It goes until July 1st.drama1 wrote:Crap. I missed it by 12 days. Daaaaaamn.
If SW is your retailer, maybe they can accommodate your near miss.
Internally return it and generate a new sale. I bet this stuff happens all the time.

Yamaha did something like this the last 9 or so months the Motif XF was their top-end board. Maybe this means something new is on the horizon?
