Re: Korg Prologue vs Arturia MatrixBrute
I owned a MatrixBrute. It's a beast, a work of art and I enjoyed every moment. It's built like a tank and the Matrix feature is amazing but.......................................it isn't polyphonic and I just couldn't produce songs with it. So I went back to the Kronos.chu_po_ming wrote:Dear Fellows,

Below is one song that I did manage but if you are into chords, it will get frustrating.
The Prologue will give you more for your money, great fx, Wavetables, updates and support.

I'm sure I already replied to this with pretty much the same answer; monosynth verse polysynth can't really be compared. MatrixBrute is a monster of a monosynth that not much can hold a light to, but it's a monosynth so chords aren't going to happen.
Stuff I'm using: Umm right now, well there's a Volca Drum, a Micro Freak, an ADX-1, a Pulse, a Blofeld, a UNO Drum, KeyStep/Beatstep Pro/Keystep Pro (one of each), a Circuit, a LiveTrak L-12 and this nonsense: The Brief-case as it was about a bit over a year ago (the the complete ridiculous GAS monster collection here)and here

That's not true : Matrixbrute can be played on Duophonic, Paraphonic and Keyboard split mode. So It's not simply a Monophonic.megamarkd wrote:MatrixBrute is a monster of a monosynth that not much can hold a light to, but it's a monosynth so chords aren't going to happen.

All true. I owned one. In Paraphonic mode it plays the three oscillators to different notes, in the order 1 to 3 as you trigger each key . So in it can play a three note chord. Its very analogue though, not really sweet. In split mode you can play a bass one note sequence on the lower and a solo on the upper.
