Program changes
I just got an electribe sampler 2. Im using it to control my Minilogue, and various Volga’s. My question is: is there a way to ONLY sequence notes, and not change programs on my Minilogue when I switch patterns?
Hmm it seems there is no way to turn off prog chance being received by the Minilogue, but we can try to avoid them being sent. I take it it's the ES2 that is sending prog changes as the Volgas (love that typo and I'm running with it!) don't send MIDI without solder and holes in the case. If you are riding the prog change on the ES2, set the Minilogue to a different channel to that which you are running the changes on. If that channel is also sending note data, perhaps duplicate the track, one for the local instrument and one for the Minilogue. That way the track you are progchanging on will be a different MIDI channel to the Minilogue and it will ignore those changes.
Also, double check there isn't a way to disable prog change being sent from the ES2 in it's global settings menu, you might be in luck.
Worst case scenario is you need to get a MIDI filter from someone like MIDISolutions, but don't do that until you know you need one.

Stuff I'm using: Umm right now, well there's a Volca Drum, a Micro Freak, an ADX-1, a Pulse, a Blofeld, a UNO Drum, KeyStep/Beatstep Pro/Keystep Pro (one of each), a Circuit, a LiveTrak L-12 and this nonsense: The Brief-case as it was about a bit over a year ago (the the complete ridiculous GAS monster collection here)and here
