SQ-1 gate issue in parallel mode

Post by Borch »

Hello Korg friends,

There was no SQ-1 forum so posted this here. Having fun with my sq1 and monotribe. Pitch and gate working like a charm with CV when I only transmit on one output (A or B).

However when I run A and B parallel on the sq1 with the monotribe. I have a problem with gate. The gate will get triggered(without pitch) by the other output. Eg monotribe on A will get triggered by gate on B.

In this example the gate output from B is transmitted on the gate out A.

In the manual it is explained this is not possible. Would my unit be faulty?

Sounds faulty, but are you really sure that when running in parallel mode channel B is transmitted on gate A?

Note that when all gate buttons are on and all active steps are on as well on both rows, gate A and gate B signal will basically the same.

A cross-check could be
* run a parallel mode
* disable some gate buttons on channel A and B, but make sure they are different.
* alternatively connect the monotribe to channel A and B
* Does it sound different?
