Hi ppl,
I use a QuiLok switch pedal (latch) with my Kronos 88 LS to step up programs and combis.
The strange thing is that after 5 or maybe 6 times that i need push only 1 time the pedal to go up with progs or combis, the Kronos start to needs 2 pushes to go up.
Being a simple switch (shorting the + and the -) I think is not a polarity problem.
Any advice about that?
Tnx

it does sound like midi misbehaving.
Try to trouble shoot further.
Suggest trying another switch pedal, to see if you duplicate the same issue.
Switch out the cable, too, on your Qwik Lock.
Also experiment with different types of programs.
I see you have 100's of samples, which are usually much larger Programs vs the Kronos factory programs. Test your pedal with the factory Programs, to duplicate the issue. Then test it with Programs where you have samples loaded.

I don't trust the cheap pro kind of pedals after using one switch type pedal as a sustain pedal. I was unknowingly not getting the full sustain response right from day one, new out of the pedal box, and i later started to get erratic sustain response until mostly no response.
I switched to the common Yamaha metal switch pedal for sustain and was getting more sustain response than ever. Kronos seems sensitive to how pedals connect. I gave my bad pedals to a keyboardist with cheap Casio and yamaha arrangers and he had no problems with the same problem pedals.
Being switch pedals, i can imagine what issues would have come up if i had them plugged into the kronos switch pedal insert. Using it as sustain pedal, in the early stages of malfunction, i often had to lift up and press down on the pedal twice or more to get any response. Later, it became erratic.
It could be any of a number of things going on in your case, but i don't trust just any pedal brand especially the cheap pro kind going around.
