Kronos 88 - Dust cover ?

Post by ajean »

Hi,

Do any of you guys know of a nice dust cover that would fit nicely on a Kronos-2 88 keys ?

Its just to bad that Korg doesn't produce one with a nice Kronos logo on it...

I believe I had purchased from "Gator" brand a stretch-type material (with a drawstring) for both my Kronos-88 and Trinton Extreme-88. It may even be 'moisture-proof', if it works. Check that out. It works well for me, and should for you, too. Don't worry about damaging the joysticks, but just be careful on how you pull the cover over the Kronos, that's all. Good luck!

On-Stage, Roland and Gator make those stretchy black dust covers. They work well enough. I also tried an Ebay shop called DustCoversForYou which is top quality, but the elastic is quite strong and wraps around the keyboard completely, making it slightly clumsy if you have a bunch of cables plugged into the back of the Kronos.

I don't have my Kronos88 anymore, but I still have the DCFY dust cover.

I've been asking this guy to make Kronos covers, but he seems to have something against workstations: https://www.gearslutz.com/board/electro ... rdust.html
He makes gorgeous synth covers though

Can you post pictures of the cover over your Kronos to see the fit ?

Can you leave the connectors plugged in with the cover over the Kronos ?

Thanks!

I've got a Cover Your Ax stretchy black dust cover for my K2 73 and it works perfect for the studio.

The back is open and it fits well with cables connected. It is very well made and you can have a custom logo. I will take a picture and post it later. I also bought the soft case from the same manufacturer. Very nice people to deal with as well.

@NormC

Please do post some picture of the cover you've got from the eBay seller.

I'd like to see the fit on the Kronos.

Thanks!

I like a simple solution for a cover. I am not gigging so I don't need anything fancy.

I went to a fabric store and had them take a piece of clear flexi plastic, and cut it to cover my 88.

I have 2 cats and visitors like to hover over the Kronos with a drink. My cover prevents accidents, etc.
