SV-1 midi ignores keybed splits when rewiring Reason

This is a long shot. I am using my SV-1 primarily as a midi controller. I am rewiring Reason into Ableton, sending midi notes from an External Instrument device in Ableton to a Reason Combinator that has various instrument layers and various keybed splits. Reason receives all notes for all instruments, basically ignores the splits I have defined in the Reason combinator. This only happens with the SV-1, not any other midi controller I have.

Anyone experienced this or another situation where SV-1 in a midi chain ends up ignoring keybed splits?
