What are the optimal global parameter settings for syncing?

Post by Schtang »

I have recently had a few issues with my Volca Sample going out of Sync with my E2. I've noticed that when there are many sample slots unmuted, or a lot is going on, that it's more likely to happen. Usually it occurs somewhere between step 9-13 and just flashes forward a few steps and remains out of time with my setup.

I have heard that cable quality and volume (?) are also possible contributing factors to this issue. I am currently using the Sync cable that came with the unit, and will buy a good proper sturdy cable in the coming days. However I have also consulted the manual and have noticed this page:

It seems to have a few settings for Sync and I was wondering if anyone knows a more optimal setting than the default global parameters to keep that pesky sync synced?! I'm thinking of changing step 8 to once every step, but would like to know if anyone has had any luck with changing these settings. Cheers
