That's odd. Anything that saves to 16bit 44/48khz samples should work. I think it's best NOT to save any loop points/metadata gubbins with the file, just the wave data itself.

I use Auria on the ipad to create 16bit 48khz files and i've loaded dozens of them onto an SD card and into the sampler with no drama whatsoever.
If I'm not listening to music, or if I'm not making music, then I'm probably thinking about music.

Volca Sample, FM, Beats, Kick. OP-1, Monologue, Pocket Operators. And an ipad.

I've always used an old shareware version of GoldWave (v5.08 ). It can do batch jobs processing with any presets settings (samplerate, effects, pitch, noise,...) you specified earlier.

Might not be IYO but hey, it works and is very solid.

(The lame_enc.dll for mp3's is included in the folder, if it asks)

Thanx Inter, forgot about this one! I do remember I did some work (years ago) as a beta-tester for goldwave, so I should still have a lic for it somewhere. Will try it out...

I also had a problem with some wave files. From what I understand there are two "standards" for WAV files, and it seems that the electribe sampler only supports one of them.

I use sox for file conversion, and there I need to pass the flag "-t wavpcm" to write it in a way that the electribe can read it. According to sox documentation, this is some kind of unofficial standard, and not correct according to Microsoft docs, but still used alot. (see here, point 4: http://sox.sourceforge.net/Docs/FAQ)
