Setlists just for comments

Post by Melomaniak »

I have a small and feasible idea for the next Kronos OS update:
It would be nice if you could also turn off the sound-change-function of a setlist slot. So the setlist slots could also be use only for comments, notes, lyrics, chords etc. (regardless of the current sound).

On the slot-edit-tab on the top left: "Program", "Combination", and "Song" also make "Off" selectable.

What do you think about this?

I was trying to picture using this and I think it could get confusing having sound changing and non sound changing slots mixed together.

I think I would prefer something similar but the entire setlist would be flagged as a "comment' setlist.

I understand your point. That is probably a matter of taste. But I tend to the more flexible solution per slot. And such implementation should not be a big thing for Korg.

When a slot is set to "Off", there could be displayed just the slot-name (not the sound-name and -number) in the overview. So you can see very quickly, that this slot actually not change the sound.

Either way I would think that it should be fairly easy to implement. But why stop there? How about some sort of user created help file or PDF viewer that could include links and graphics?

PDF viewer would be great feature. Now I am using iPad and forScore app, but if i can use pdf without iPad - this would be cool.
