Saving style and sound - STS

Post by khichadi »

I am new to PA900 and couldn't figure out few things from manual.
For example...
I select Factory style - slow waltz 1
Change tempo from default to new value 145
on bottom it displays 4 STS (#1 Flute, #2 Accordion, #3 Strings, #4 Bell & Whistle)
I want to change sound on STS 2 UP1 to new sound from Cassotto to Violin
leave rest STS1, 3 and 4 same
now I want to save this configuration
How do I do that?
When i tried saving STS2 (by pressing it), it says factory style protected and I don't want to change anything on factory style. Can I copy this and save my new config to some other style name?
Basically I want to save style, modified sound on one STS, tempo to somewhere.
As I said, I am novice and if my question is confusing, please let me know and I will try to explain with pictures.
Thanks in advance

You can copy the style to a favorite location and make any changes you want, or you can use the songbook and you don't have to copy the style. The songbook saves only the settings for the style, STS, etc., not the style.

Hope that helps.

Make sure you have unchecked the style/Pad protection in Global mode.
Than copy the style in one of your user/Fav location. Now you can change what you would like to change. You can make now voice changes and than save it. Hope this helps.
The only stupid questions are the questions that have not been asked.

Thanks guys. I copied style and modified sound and saved new STS and STYLE. It worked great. Thanks again.

I didn't understand songbook saving suggestion. Looked in manual but couldn't figure out either. Can you give me some steps or hint please.
