How would I create a bass line when I press a key.
I choose a bass instrument in prog mode.
When I press E, I would like it to play E E G G E, or whatever I want.
I can do this with the step sequencer on AL1, but don't know how for a HD-1.
Seems like Karma should be able to do it, but I can't choose the notes.
Thanks
Kevin
Create a bass line?

Karma allows to do some very complex but rather predefined stuff.
You can define your own Karma patterns only with KARMA software from Karma-lab.
Just for bass lines, drum patterns etc I would use SEQ mode and Pattern/RPPR features.
RPPR/Patterns however do only exactly what you play, patterns do not follow your key - so if you programmed pattern do play EEGGE it will not play DDFFD if you change key.

Re: Create a bass line?
Use a wave sequence. You will have to go to GLOBAL - WAVE SEQ. Set up a 5 part loop and pick whatever bass sound you like on the STEP PARAMETER page. Pick 5 of the same bass and tune them to your liking. WRITE the sequence to a user slot.kevinh_12345us wrote:How would I create a bass line when I press a key.

Now you have to put it into a program. Select a bass program, go to the OSC/PITCH tab and change the Multisample to Wave Sequence. Now, just pick the one you saved. WRITE the program and you are set!
