Dumb Question. How do I get back to the Original Home Screen?

Post by l8rdood »

I am looking to get to the Home screen that shows the different synth engines. I am stuck in either Combi, Program or Set List Mode. I really need to access the MS-20 can't find how to get there. Thx for your help :)

The screen you are talking about is just an image that displays during boot up. There's no way to "get there", and it certainly doesn't allow you to select synth engines.

To use an MS-20 program, you either go to an MS-20 program that already exists in Program Mode (such as U-A027 Power of the Ring in the Kronos 2 voice order, or U-E027 in the earlier Kronos voice order), or you go to any EXi program, and on the Common Page > Program Basic, set the Exi Instrument Type to "MS-20EX".

Thanks. I said it was a dumb question. A 'big' DUH...but I guess that explains why I was never able to get to it. Btw, how hard would had been for Korg to implement something like that? You know, like an extra 'tab'? Just a thought......

Why don't you use the set list to save a few programs from each engine, you can edit a note within the Set list slots so you know exactly what your selecting.for example

Slot 1 MS20 program
Slot 2 SGX Program
Slot 3 EP program
Slot 4 etc,etc,etc,etc

Should you want to go to a specific engine in the future you can simply press the Set list button and call the respective engine program up by selecting a slot within the set list mode on the screen, you could use that as kind of "Home" option.

I have a set of Blank programs/Combis from each engine and saved them into a set list tab so should I want to create a program from scratch within a specific mode I can call one up from the set list easily.
